The Texas Longhorns look for revenge against the visiting Brigham Young Cougars Saturday.
The Brigham Young Cougars opened 2014 with a 35-10 road victory over the Connecticut Huskies. On paper the Cougars dominated from start to finish with 523 yards and plenty of balance while UConn mustered just 355 yards with zero ability to run. Taysom Hill was brilliant under center for BYU with 308 passing yards and three TD's while using his legs to add a team high 97 yards and a pair of scores. The negatives were 15 penalties and just seven points over the final 30 minutes so the Huskies couldn't be put away and should have been.

The Texas Longhorns stifled the offense of the North Texas Mean Green in a one sided 38-7 win on opening day. The Longhorns were far from fancy offensively with 353 yards split almost evenly between the run and pass. David Ash completed 19-34 for 190 yards with a touchdown with John Harris catching seven balls for 110 yards and the score. The Horns turned to Jonathan Gray and Malcom ground to provide the bulk of the production on the ground and the duo responded with 147 yards with Brown finding the endzone twice. However the story of the game was the Texas defense that gave up a mere 94 yards and recorded four interceptions including a DeMarco Cobbs pick six.
Ash suffered a concussion versus North Texas which tells me the Longhorns won't be shy running the ball. The way both teams run combining with solid defense the under might be the way to go here...
