UB Stadium and the Buffalo Bulls host the high powered of of the Baylor Bears in a week three tilt.
The Baylor Bears steamrolled Northwestern State 70-7 in week two to up their record to 2-0 on the young season. This one was over fast with the Bears ahead 49-3 after 30 minutes before finishing with an eye popping 720 yards of offense. The Bears only threw 28 times but amassed 438 yards and five touchdowns on the right arm of Seth Russell who's shortest touchdown throw was 42 yards. KD Cannon paced the receivers with 223 yards on six receptions with three touchdowns while Johnny Jefferson and Silas Nacita combined for 211 rushing yards and another three TD's. The defense held the overmatched Demons to just over 200 yards and eleven first downs.

The Buffalo Bulls fell behind the Army Black Knights early and never caught up in a 47-39 road defeat that dropped their record to 1-1. The Bulls trailed 21-3 at the half before clawing their way back before time ran out on them. The defense had trouble with the Black Knights option that totaled 341 yards but mistakes were damaging as well becaus the Bulls moved the ball easily with 554 yards. Joe Licata completed 35-50 for 401 yards with five touchdowns but a large part of the positives were negated with three interceptions. Marcus McGill led all receivers with seven catches and 128 yards with a pair of touchdowns while Anthone Taylor paced a decent but sparingly used ground attack with 79 yards.
The spread is skyrocketing and I have zero interest laying what could be five touchdowns by kickoff. I will take a look at the over here but caution is key because rain is forecast which would negate some of Baylor's scoring...
