The Colorado Buffaloes butt heads with the Hawaii Warriors in a week four bout at Folsom Field.
The Hawaii Warriors slipped by the visiting Northern Iowa Panthers 27-24 to break in to the win column for the first time. Neither team rolled up the yardage with Hawaii holding a 373-323 edge in that department but the UH defense played a big part in this win with a pair of fumble recoveries with one in the Panthers endzone to open the scoring. Steven Lakalaka gave the Warriors some punch on the ground with 124 yards on 32 carries including a 30 yard scoring run. The Hawaii passing game was a bit hit or miss with Ikaika Woolsey connecting on 14-30 for 188 yards and a TD with 52 yards coming on a throw to Scott Harding.

A poor first half doomed the Colorado Buffaloes in a 38-24 loss to Arizona State that dropped their record to 1-2. The Sun Devils were up 24-10 after two quarters and the Buffaloes played catch up the rest of the way. CU piled up 545 yards but were really hurt by three turnovers and eight penalties because they did what they wanted with the ball. Sefo Liufau gave Colorado an explosive game in the air with 278 yards and three touchdowns which was tempered because of a pair of picks. Nelson Spruce paced the CU receiving unit with 97 yards on seven catches and two scores while Christian Powell enjoyed an eleven carry, 118 yard evening on the ground.
