The Line: Temple Owls -- Over/Under: See the Latest Odds

The Temple Owls play their first game in two weeks when they host the Delaware State Hornets Saturday at Lincoln Financial Field.

The Delaware State Hornets are 0-3 and aren’t playing well on either side of the ball. Delaware State is averaging 12.3 points and allowing 33.3 points, and the Hornets have scored a combined 16 points in their last two games. Quarterback Gilbert Rivera is completing just 55.8 percent of his passes, and the Delaware State ground game is averaging just 2.8 yards per carry. Running back Malcolm Williams is averaging a solid 4.6 yards per carry and has both of the Hornets two rushing touchdowns, but it’s tough to give him the ball throughout the game when the score is so lopsided. Delaware State could use a more consistent Milton Williams at wide receiver as well. Defensively, the Delaware State Hornets are allowing 436.7 yards per game and have two sacks. Davin Moore leads Delaware State with 15 solo tackles and Malik Harris has three tackles for loss.

Temple Owls vs. Delaware St Hornets CFB Pick, Odds, Prediction - 9/20/14

The Temple Owls have had a long time to recover from their loss against Navy and hope to bring more energy to this matchup. P.J. Walker is the heart and soul of the Temple offense, as he’s completing 62.7 percent of his passes for four touchdowns and leads the Owls with 92 rushing yards and a touchdown. Temple is averaging a decent 3.8 yards per carry on the ground and senior Jalen Fitzpatrick has taken on more of a leadership role at the wide receiver position. Temple has the potential to be a much better offensive team that what its shown, it just needs a few more guys to emerge. Defensively, the Temple Owls are allowing 397.5 yards per game and have forced 10 turnovers and four sacks. Tyler Matakevich leads Temple with 14 solo tackles and Tavon Young has two interceptions.
