The Fresno State Bulldogs broke open a close game in the second half of a 35-24 decision at New Mexico. The Bulldogs broke loose offensively with almost 600 yards with 30 first downs and an equal ability to throw and run. Brian Burrell had his way with the Lobos secondary on a 27-39 completions for 318 yards with a trio of touchdowns and an interception. Aaron Peck and Josh Harper paced the Bulldogs receiving corps with 12 catches for 177 yards. Marteze Waller gave the Fresno rushing attack some bite on a 14 carry, 163 yard night while Burrell added 63 yards with his legs with a touchdown. The key here was New Mexico didn't throw the ball even when trailing late.
I don't see a whole lot of difference here but I think we saw the true Fresno State against New Mexico last week and as far as San Diego State goes I need to see more of them against similar competition. Lean Bulldogs but will update Friday...
