The Louisiana-Lafayette Ragin' Cajuns host the Georgia State Panthers at Cajun Field in Saturday action.
The Georgia State Panthers had Washington on the roped for two quarters before the ceiling caved in on them. The Huskies walked away with a 45-14 victory after trailing 14-0 in the first half. Washington won the yardage battle 336-273 and took advantage of four Panthers turnovers. The Panthers usually have their success throwing the ball but Nick Arbuckle hit on 21-33 for 194 yards and both touchdowns and three killer interceptions including a pick six. The rushing attack was limited to less then 70 yards so moving the chains was tough and doing it in the second half didn't happen.

The Louisiana-Lafayette Ragin' Cajuns have had an extra week to lick their wounds from the 34-9 pummeling they received on the blue turf of Boise State. The Ragin' Cajuns were a preseason favorite in the Sun Belt but they have not been strong in any area with a 1-3 record saying as much. The Broncos did what they wanted offensively with almost 500 yards while ULL totaled 241 yards and 14 first downs. Dual threat quaterback Terrance Broadway completed 20-38 for 160 yards and a pick in a short passing attack that was not moving the chains with no rushing attack to fall back on and BSU allowing the underneath stuff.
UL Lafayette has gotten many accolades the past few years with some deserved and some gained from hype. This looks like a lost team and they are done with a loss to Georgia State. I give the Cajuns and edge right now and will revisit later but Broadway won't get a cent of my money...
