The Boise State Broncos pay a visit to MacKay Stadium to tangle with the Nevada Wolfpack.
The Boise State Broncos suffered a 28-14 defeat at Air Force in a surprisingly lack lustre performance that wasn't competitive. In a very un-Boise like effort the team lost a pair of fumbles and threw five interceptions so in reality the score was actually close. The Broncos defense held the Falcons to 335 yards and did a solid job given the miscues offensively. There was no rushing attack to speak of and when Grant Hedrick went 18-33 for 209 yards and four picks he was given a seat in favor of Ryan Finley. Finley connected on 12-25 with a pair of 4th quarter TD's and a pick but the damage was done before he entered the game.

The Nevada Wolfpack improved to 3-1 following a 21-10 road win at San Jose State in week five action. Defense has been the Wolpack's calling card thus far and even though the Spartans totaled 446 yards they forced three turnovers and recorded a 27 yard pick six from Nigel Haikins in the 4th to ice the win. Nevada mustered 256 yards and held the ball for under 24 minutes with virtually no passing from Cody Fajardo. Fajardo hit on 10-18 throws for 64 yards with another 64 yards on the ground with a pair of trips to the endzone. Don Jackson was Nevada's offensive star with 106 yards on 12 carries in an otherwise quiet night.
Nevada hasn't been lighting up the scoreboard this season but opponents have been held in check. I'm still trying to figure out Boise State and their awful effort against the Air Force was the worse I've seen from this team. Bounce back for the Broncos...
