The Eastern Michigan Eagles look for a conference win against the visiting Buffalo Bulls in week seven action.
The Eastern Michigan Eagles struggles on the offensive side of the football were an issue once again in a 31-6 loss at Akron in week six. The Eagles actually scored first and trailed by a 10-6 count at the half but it was all downhill from there with 279 yards not being competitive with the Zips 552 yards while also losing the turnover battle 4-0. EMU mustered under 100 yards on the ground and 2 1/2 yards per touch which meant complete reliance on the passing of Rob Bolden. Bolden completed 17-30 for 185 yards with an 18 yard touchdown to Tyler Allen with two killer interceptions.

The Buffalo Bulls went back and forth with Bowling Green and at the end of the day fell just short in in a 36-35 defeat. The Falcons owned a hefty 508-368 advantage in yardage but stayed alive because of a 3-1 edge in turnovers. The Bulls dominated the trenches on the ground with Anthone Taylor rambling for 219 yards on 36 carries with three trips to the endzone. The normally potent passing of Joe Licata was effective on 16-24 but with only 134 yards not much was happening downfield with Ron Willoughby hauling in a 16 yard touchdown. At the final gun UB had no answer for James Knapke and his 321 passing yards.
The Eagles struggles to score are well documented but the Bulls defense isn't great so the question becomes will EMU score enough to cover DD. The line is dropping so now is the time to back Eastern Michigan if you like them...
