The Marshall Thundering Herd stayed perfect on the season with a workmanlike 56-14 pasting of Old Dominion on the road. This one was never in doubt with Marshall up 35-7 at the half with dominating performances on both sides of the ball. The offense piled up 591 yards with a heavy dose of the run which accounted for 354 yards. Rakeem Cato didn't have his best day in the air with 198 yards with touchdown throws to Deon-Tay McManus and Tommy Schuler with a pair of interceptions. The Thundering Herd didn't need much from their star Devin Johnson rumbling for 198 yards and a trio of scores with Remi Watson adding 102 yards and two TD's. The special teams recovered a blocked punt for six while the defense held the high scoring Monarchs to 286 yards.
Marshall has been and will continue to be big chalk and they won't cover every game. Could be this one but I'll base this on potential...
