The Ohio Bobcats and the Bowling Green Falcons take the field in a MAC battle on Saturday.
The Bowling Green Falcons outscored Buffalo 36-35 to pick up a big conference victory. The Falcons rolled up 508 yards with the ability to both run and throw although they chose to go with an explosive air game often. The trio of Travis Greene, Fred Coppet and quarterback James Knapke combined for 187 rushing yards and a TD each to give the Falcons a quality threat on the ground. However it was the passing of Knapke that was front page news with 321 yards with a touchdown and a pick with Ronnie Moore grabbing nine balls for 178 yards and a score.

The Ohio Bobcats struggled to get the offense going in a 28-10 defeat at Central Michigan in week six. The defensive side of the ball struggled as well with 467 yards and 25 first downs allowed. Having said that it probably didn't make a world of difference what the defense did with the Bobcats producing just 187 yards and controlling the ball for less then 18 minutes. Daz'Mond Patterson was easily the best offensive threat with 12 carries for 77 yards while quarterback JD Sprague connected on 7-21 for 98 yards which wasn't enough to move the chains and find the endzone.
I know Bowling Green has the better record but I see a whole lot of question marks for each team which raises the caution flag. I'm taking the points on Ohio in what is certain to be an unpopular pick and revisit this Friday...
