The Houston Cougars look to improve above .500 with a win here and inch that much closer to a bowl appearance. Houston is another team that puts defense first, as the Cougars are allowing 19.2 points, 322.7 yards, and they’ve forced 19 turnovers and 11 sacks. Houston has won 13 of its last 17 games when allowing 24 or less points. Efrem Oliphant leads Houston with 68 tackles and Joey Mbu has 4.5 tackles for loss. Offensively, Houston relies on Kenneth Farrow and Ryan Jackson, a running back duo that has produced more than 600 rushing yards and six touchdowns. Former Notre Dame recruit Deontay Greenberry leads Houston with 402 receiving yards and two touchdowns, as the Cougars have nine passing plays of 25 or more yards. Whether it’s John O'Korn or Greg Ward Jr., the Houston Cougars are completing just 53.3 percent of their passes for seven touchdowns and nine interceptions.

The Owls are 6-0 ATS in their last 6 road games and 7-2 ATS in their last 9 conference games. The Cougars are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 home games and 15-6 ATS in their last 21 games overall.

Forget trying to find out who covers, we're getting a truckload of points in a matchup were both teams take great pride on the defensive side of the ball. I'm taking the under all day in this spot.
