The Bowling Green Falcons look to stay perfect in the MAC when the Western Michigan Broncos visit.
The Western Michigan Broncos rallied from a 17 point first half deficit to hand Ball State a 42-38 on the road. This was a tail of two games wrapped in to one with the first half dominated by Ball State and the second half dominated by Western Michigan. The defense that allowed 471 yards and survived three turnovers made a last second stand inside the ten yard line to preserve the victory. The Broncos piled up almost 500 yards with plenty of running and passing ability so the Cardinals had to worry about stopping both. Jarvion Franklin paced the ground game with 161 yards and three TD's including a 54 yard scoring jaunt while Darius Phillips added a 52 yard run. Zach Terrell was the star of the offense with a 20-29 effort for 290 yards with 12 yard, 52 yard and 75 yard scoring throws with Corey Davis posting six receptions for 154 yards and the 75 yard touchdown. A 12 yard scoring toss to Daniel Braverman with less then 1 1/2 minutes left provided the winning margin.

The Bowling Green Falcons iproved to 3-0 in the MAC with a businesslike 31-13 road win over Ohio. The Falcons are 5-2 overall and are trying to establish themselves as the team to beat in the conference while the Bobcats lost the majority of the talent that made them a conference contender over the past several seasons. Ironically the Bobcats dominated total yardage 513-355 but struggled to make enough plays to get in the endzone while Bowling Green was scoring touchdowns. Ohio never got things right when moving the ball when within shouting distance of the endzone which is an issue that must be resolved going forward. For the FalconsTravis Greene was the only runner of note with 50 yards and a score while grabbing three passes for 37 yards and another touchdown while James Knapke threw for 260 yards with a pair of touchdowns and an interception with Roger Lewis leading the receiving corps with six catches for 100 yards.
The Broncos are 5-0 ATS in their last five contests and 5-0 ATS in the last five on fieldturf. Bowling Green is 13-3 ATS in their last 16 after giving up less then 20 points in their previous game. The over is 4-0 in the Falcons last four following an ATS win. Head to head the under is 4-0 in the last four meetings while the favorite is 4-1 ATS in the past five while Western Michigan is 5-2 ATS in the last seven.
On paper Bowling Green looks as if they have the advantage especially with this being at home. However we have to consider that Western Michigan has done quite well in this match up and they just might have the Falcons number. On the flip side this is the MAC and anything can happen and usually does which I expect here...
