The Oregon Ducks and the Washington Huskies face off on Saturday in Autzen Stadium for a Pac-12 college football matchup.
The Oregon Ducks bounced back from their first loss of the year by going on the road and smashing UCLA last Saturday to put themselves right back in the hunt for a playoff spot. Oregon’s offense is still once of the best in the nation averaging 43.3 points and 522.5 yards per game and are led by Heisman Trophy candidate Marcus Mariota who has completed 69.7 percent of his passes with 17 touchdowns without an interception and 290 rushing yards and five rushing touchdowns. Royce Freeman paces the Ducks ground attack averaging 5.5 yards per carry with seven touchdowns and Byron Marshall has 29 receptions and Devon Allen as 21 catches with six of them being for touchdowns. The Oregon defense allows 24.3 points per game and 470.3 yards with six interceptions, six fumble recoveries, and 18 sacks. Reggie Daniels has 41 tackles, Erick Dargan has 28 tackles and three interceptions, and Joe Walker has 37 tackles. After losing last season Oregon folded it up but this year they bounced back with fire and are going to be tough over the second half of the year.

The Washington Huskies are 5-1 as they start the second half of heir season as their schedule gets a lot tougher in a hurry. Washington struggled to wins in their early games but since then they have been strong even losing by just a touchdown in their lone loss. The Washington offense is averaging 34.8 points and 372.5 yards per game and are led by QB Cyler Miles who has completed 65.9 percent of his passes throwing for nine touchdowns and no interceptions. Lavon Coleman is averaging 4.4 yards per carry as the Huskies leading ground gainer and Jayden Mickens is their leading receiver with 33 catches. The UW defense allows 21.3 points and 392.3 yards per game with five interceptions, 10 fumble recoveries, and 24 sacks. Danny Shelton has 49 tackles and 7.0 sacks, Shaq Thompson and John Timu each have 46 tackles, and Hau’oll Kikaha as 10 sacks. This would be a landmark win for the Washington program at this point.
Oregon is 2-5 against the spread following a win, 3-8 against the spread in their last 11 games, and 1-6 against the spread in their last seven Pac-12 games. Washington is 4-1 against the spread against a team with a winning record, 1-4 against the spread following a game that they covered the point spread, and 3-9 in their last 12 road games against a team with a winning home record. The favorite is 13-3-1 against the spread in the last 17 meetings of these two.
Oregon looks focused and in this one they are simply too much and I look for them to blow Washington out.
