TV: FOX Sports 1

The Baylor Bears and West Virginia Mountaineers play Saturday at Milan Puskar Stadium.

The Baylor Bears are still undefeated after making an improbable comeback against the TCU Horned Frogs last week. With a healthy Bryce Petty at quarterback, he’s thrown eight touchdowns and two interceptions in his last two games. Baylor has 29 passing plays of 25 or more yards and is 7-0 SU when Petty throws at least three touchdowns. KD Cannon leads the Baylor receivers with 651 receiving yards and six touchdowns, and Jay Lee has five touchdown receptions despite missing two games. Shock Linwood has eight of Baylor’s 20 rushing touchdowns and he’s topped 300 rushing yards in his last two games. Baylor has won 18 straight regular season games when scoring more than 40 points. Defensively, the Baylor Bears are allowing 20 points, 303.5 yards, and they’ve forced 10 turnovers and 21 sacks. Bryce Hager leads Baylor with 42 tackles and Shawn Oakman has five sacks.

The West Virginia Mountaineers are hoping this will be their first marquee win of the season. Like Baylor, West Virginia can put up points in a hurry led by quarterback Clint Trickett, who is completing 68.5 percent of his passes for 12 touchdowns and four interceptions. West Virginia has 24 passing plays of 25 or more yards six different receivers with double-digit receptions. Kevin White leads WVU with 61 catches, 888 yards and he’s scored in four straight games. West Virginia is averaging 4.1 yards per carry and is led by Rushel Shell, who has scored in four straight games and has topped 100 rushing yards in two straight contests. West Virginia has won 14 of its last 16 games when scoring 35 or more points. Defensively, the West Virginia Mountaineers are allowing 27.2 points, 393 yards, and they’ve forced four turnovers and eight sacks. Nick Kwiatkoski leads West Virginia with 48 tackles and Shaq Petteway has two sacks.

The Bears are 18-7-1 ATS in their last 26 conference games and 20-6-1 ATS in their last 27 games overall. The Mountaineers are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 home games and 4-9 ATS in their last 13 games overall.

It's tough to win in West Virgnia, as the Mountaineers have one of the top home field advantages in college football. WVU also has an elite passing offense that can compete with Baylor. If TCU can make things interesting on the road, West Virginia can certainly do the same thing at home. Give me the points.
