The Brigham Young Cougars look to get back on the winning track at Bronco Stadium where the Boise State Broncos await.
The fortunes for the Brigham Young Cougars have continued to fall with loss number three in a row by a 42-35 count to visiting Nevada on Saturday. This was a disappointing outcome given the Cougars led 28-10 at the break and failed to hold a double digit lead in the second half for consecutive weeks with Nevada scoring the winning touchdown with 2:35 left. BYU dominated total yardage 601-411 but three lost fumbles and the Wolf Pack took advantage. Ironically Christian Stewart had his best game since Taysom Hill went down with 408 passing yards with four touchdowns with Mitch Matthews leading the Cougars with 16 catches for 182 yards and scores of eleven and 15 yards. Nate Carter led the Brigham Cougars on the ground with 87 yards on seven carries while Stewart and Paul Lasike combined for 93 yards on 28 touches.

The Boise State Broncos have been winning but they certainly have been less then impressive. The Broncos improved to 5-2 with a 37-27 home win over Fresno State who tied the score 27-27 late in the third when they recovered a fumble inside the Broncos redzone. The Broncos led the boxscore with nearly 500 yards split evenly between the run and pass with Grant Hedrick completing 21-30 for 190 yards with a 21 yard scoring toss to Shane Williams-Rhodes while Thomas Sperbeck went 2-2 for 38 yards with a nine yard touchdown to quarterback Grant Hedrick. Boise State was highly effective on the ground behind a 158 yard, 30 carry effort scoring twice with Williams-Rhodes ripping off a 49 yard run with Hedrick scrambling for another 56 yards. The defense held the Bulldogs to 311 yards but allowed 164 rushing yards to Marteze Walker who ripped off a 76 yard TD run.
The over is 4-0 in Brigham Young's last four non conference games and is 4-0 in the last fou contests following an ATS defeat while the Cougars are 0-5 ATS i their last five non conference games. The under is 5-1 in Boise State's las six games after gaining more then 450 yards in their previous game. The over is 13-3 in the Broncos last 16 games after allowing less then 170 yards passing in their previous game with the over going 8-2 in the Broncos last ten contests after rushing for more then 200 yards in their previous game. On the season Brigham Young is 2-5 ATS and Boise State is 4-3 ATS.
I could make an argument for either team here but the truth of the matter is I don't really care for either team so for now I'll take the points and make any changes by the afternoon on game day...
