The Air Force Falcons come out of their bye week looking to continue their winning ways when they visit Army in week ten. The Falcons outlasted New Mexico 35-31 in week eight and have won four of five to improve to 5-2 on the season. The game was fairly even with AFA leading the yardage battle 428-400 with their lone fumble ending up as a touchdown for the Lobos. The Army Black Knights look to snap a two game skid when the Air Force comes to Michie Stadium Saturday. The Black Knights have struggled thus far in 2014 and things didn't improve in a surprising 39-17 defeat at Kent State as a field goal favorite. This one was decided in the second half where the Golden Flashes ripped off a 26-7 run to win easily. Kent State owned total yardage 467-330 with the Army option accounting for 295 yards at just over five yards per touch. Tony Giovannelli was the top gun on the ground with with 90 yards on seven totes and a trip to the endzone. Angel Santiago and Larry Dixon combined for 148 yards on 37 carries but the problem was when the Black Knights trailed late and needed yards in the air. Santiago was 3-10 for for 17 yards and an interception with AJ Schurr throwing for 18 yards which wasn't enough to bring Army back.
The under is 4-0 in Falcons last 4 games after accumulating less than 170 yards passing in their previous game and is 4-0 in Falcons last 4 games following a S.U. win with the over going 5-0 in Falcons last 5 games in November. For Army the under is 10-1 in Black Knights last 11 home games vs. a team with a winning road record with the Black Knights are 1-6 ATS in their last 7 games after accumulating more than 200 yards rushing in their previous game. The over is 6-1 in Black Knights last 7 games after allowing more than 450 total yards in their previous game. Head to head the Falcons are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 meetings in Army and are 6-2 ATS in their last 8 meetings while the road team is 10-4 ATS in their last 14 meetings. I like the way Air Force has performed in 2014 more then Army and I like the way they have thrown so I'll lay the field goal...
