The Colorado State Rams look to continue their winning ways when they visit Spartan Stadium to face the San Jose State Spartans.
The Colorado State Rams look to extend their winning streak to seven games when they visit San Jose State Saturday. Colorado State might have began the season as a team without much notoriety but after a 45-31 victory at Wyoming the Rams have won six in a row and I'm sure people are taking notice. This was a 38-10 game before the Cowboys made it respectable late with CSU holding a 558-454 edge in yardage with Wyoming getting most of their's late. Both teams leaned on the pass with the Cowboys throwing for 335 yards with Garrett Grayson completing 18-21 for 390 yards and five touchdowns in a perfect effort. Rashad Higgins hauled in 43 yard and 73 yard TD's with Joe Hansley grabbing a 65 yard scoring toss. When the Rams ran it was Dee Hart totaling 87 yards and he too caught a TD pass.

The San Jose Spartans drive for a spot in the postseason took a turn for the worse in a 41-31 defeat at Navy so the task is to get back on the winning track when Colorado Sate comes to town in week ten. The worry versus the Midshipmen was their #110 rushing defense versus the Navy option on the road. That turned out to be a valid worry with the Middies racking up over 400 yards on the ground with over six yard average. The Spartans did counter with a solid passing attack led by Joe Gray who connected on 33-46 for 322 yards with three touchdowns and an interception. Tim Crawley let the Spartans receiving corps with eight receptions for 102 yardsincluding a 33 yard score. The San Jose State rushng attack was Tyler Ervin who totaled 72 yards on 19 touches with a trip to the endzone but running the ball was completely abandoned when the Spartans fell behind by DD.
The Rams are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games after scoring more than 40 points in their previous game and 7-1 ATS in their last 8 games following a ATS loss while going 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games after accumulating more than 280 yards passing in their previous game. For San Jose State the over is 5-0 in Spartans last 5 home games vs. a team with a winning road record with the Spartans going 9-2 ATS in their last 11 games after allowing more than 40 points in their previous game while the under is 4-1 in Spartans last 5 games on fieldturf. The Spartans are a tough team that can not be taken lightly and I don't see Colorado State overlooking them which is why I'll lay the chalk...
