Sam Boyd Stadium and the UNLV Rebels host the New Mexico Lobos in Mountain West action in week ten.
The New Mexico Lobos travel to UNLV looking to snap a two game skid and pick up their third win of the season. The Lobos almost got win number three in a 35-31 defeat at the hands of Air Force as they went in to their bye week lamenting what could have been. The Falcons only held a 428-400 edge in yardage but had at least some balance because the Lobos don't and can't throw. With Cole Gautsche completing 2-7 for 27 yards New Mexico obviously leaned heavily on their ability to move the chains with their rushing attack which is generally a solid option. UNM received 148 yards on eleven touches with 43 yard and 50 yard scoring runs while Teriyon Gipson and Gautsche combined for 133 yards but the lack of an air game hurt.

The UNLV Rebels look for their third win when the run first New Mexico Lobos come to town on Saturday. The Rebels have been struggling for most of 2014 but might have played their best game of the season despite losing to Utah State 34-20 defeat on the road in week nine. The Aggies led 17-13 heading to the locker room but shutdown the Rebels attack over the final 30 minutes with a hefty 444-282 edge in yards. The Rebels had several problems; no rushing attack and three turnovers which is a killer with less then 300 yards. Blake Decker had some success in the air by connecting on 22-38 for 267 yards with two yard and 31 yard touchdowns to Taylor Barnhill and Kendal Keys respectively while Devonte Boyd hauled in a 41 yard scoring strike. Three interceptions put a damper on what was a great performance against a pretty good defense.
The over is 4-0 in Lobos last 4 games after allowing less than 170 yards passing in their previous game while the Lobos are 1-7 ATS in their last 8 games after accumulating more than 200 yards rushing in their previous game with the over is 11-2 in Lobos last 13 games after allowing more than 200 yards rushing in their previous game. For UNLV the under is 5-0 in Rebels last 5 games following a S.U. loss while the Rebels are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 conference games with the under is 4-1 in Rebels last 5 games overall. Head to head the Lobos are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 meetings and the under is 5-2 in the last 7 meetings with the home team is 5-2 ATS in their last 7 meetings. I don't see an advantage to exploit that makes this game appealng to the average bettor but I'll throw this out...
