The Texas-San Antonio Roadrunners square off with the Rice Owls at Rice Stadium in week eleven action.
The Texas-San Antonio Roadrunners season of promise is no more as some close defeats and injuries at quarterback have doomed this team as far as the postseason is concerned. The Roadrunners are hoping to to bounce back from a 34-0 to Texas El Paso where neither side of the ball stood out. The Miners dominated the action with a 351-70 yardage advantage with only two first downs and a pair of turnovers which all led to just 20:48 of possession. The boxscore wasn't pretty if you are a UTSA fan with 38 rushing yards and a 1 1/2 yard average. The air game wasn't much better with Austin Robinson completing 6-20 for 32 yards with a 19 yard pick six. Punter Kristian Kern might have been the MVP with a whopping eleven boots.

The Rice Owls are sizzling hot and hope to stay that way when Texas-San Antonio comes to town on Saturday. The Owls have been consistent on both sides of the ball in building a five game winning streak following a 31-17 victory over visiting Florida International. Rice totaled almost 400 yards and held the Golden Panthers to just 261 yards. The Owls had success at whatever they did but the passing attack and a few big plays carried the day. Quarterback Driphus Jackson connected on 11-24 for 230 yards with 63 yard and 69 yard touchdowns to Jordan Taylor and James Mayden respectively. Jackson used his legs to contribute another 66 yards on nine carries with Jowan Davis and Darik Dillard combining for 102 yards with Davis posting a nine yard TD.
The under is 4-0 in Roadrunners last 4 games in November and is 4-0 in Roadrunners last 4 vs. a team with a winning record while the Roadrunners are 0-5 ATS in their last 5 games following a S.U. loss. For Rice the over is 4-0 in Owls last 4 games after allowing less than 170 yards passing in their previous game while the Owls are 4-0 ATS vs. a team with a losing record and the over is 4-0 in Owls last 4 games after allowing less than 275 total yards in their previous game. Texas-San Antonio is a mess right now and Rice is red hot but the Roadrunners have enough talent to be competitive. Right now I'll take the points while waiting for a total...
