Washington vs. UCLA - 11/8/14 College Football Pick, Odds, and Prediction

The UCLA Bruins have won their last three games and are back in contention in the Pac-12. UCLA is coming off of a road win last week at Arizona in a game that was tight all the way and that followed two wins that were by a combined five points. The UCLA offense is averaging 33.7 points and 490.7 yards per game and are led by QB Brett Hundley who has completed 71 percent of his passes with 15 touchdowns and four interceptions and he has rushed for 546 yards and five touchdowns. Paul Perkins has been impressive leading the Bruins in rushing with 1,074 yards and six touchdowns and Jordan Payton is UCLA’s leading receiver with 53 catches and seven touchdowns. The UCLA defense allows 27.7 points and 414.9 yards per game but they have just 11 turnovers and 13 sacks. Eric Kendricks has 97 tackles, Myles Jack has 63 tackles, and Owa Odighizuwa has 7.5 tackles for a loss. UCLA will need to win out if they hope to have a shot of going to the Pac-12 title game.

Washington is 7-3 against the spread in November, 1-5 against the spread following a game that they covered the spread, and 17-8 against the spread in their last 25 home games. UCLA is 1-4 against the spread in their last five Pac-12 games, 1-4 against the spread in their last five road games, and 7-3 against the spread in their last 10 road games against a team with a winning home record. The favorite has covered the point spread in four of the past five meetings of these two.

I am looking for a close game here as both of these teams seem to be involved in plenty of them and with that in mind my play is Washington taking the points.
