The Akron Zips and Buffalo Bulls play Tuesday night at UB Stadium.

The Akron Zips have lost three straight games and are looking for their second road win of the season. Akron is a defensive team first, allowing 21 points, 363.6 yards, and has forced 17 turnovers and 24 sacks. The Akron Zips have won seven of their last nine games when allowing 24 or less points. Jatavis Brown leads Akron with 78 tackles and Jerome Lane has five sacks. Offensively, Kyle Pohl and Tommy Woodson have combined for 2,366 yards, 12 touchdowns and 12 interceptions, as they’re completing a combined 54 percent of their passes. Akron has won three of its last four games when passing for at least two touchdowns and it has 15 passing plays of 25 or more yards. Zach D'Orazio and L.T. Smith have combined for more than 900 receiving yards and three touchdowns, while Andrew Pratt has eight of his 17 receptions in his last two games. Akron at Buffalo - 11/11/14 College Football Pick, Odds, and Prediction

The Buffalo Bulls have lost four straight games but all three of their wins have come at home. The Bulls are a pass heavy team led by Joe Licata, who is completing 63.3 percent of his passes for 21 touchdowns and 10 interceptions. Licata has three touchdowns and three picks in his last three games, and Buffalo has 21 passing plays of 25 or more yards. Ron Willoughby and Devon Hughes have produced more than 1,000 receiving yards and 12 touchdowns, while Jacob Martinez has three or more catches in three of his last five games. Buffalo’s ground game is averaging four yards per carry and Anthone Taylor leads the way with 988 yards and nine touchdowns. No other Bulls player has a rushing touchdown. Defensively, the Buffalo Bulls are allowing 33.6 points, 424 yards, and they’ve forced 13 turnovers and 19 sacks. Lee Skinner leads Buffalo with 81 tackles and Adam Redden has 13 tackles for loss.

The Zips are 17-36-1 ATS in their last 54 conference games and 0-5 ATS in their last 5 games overall. The Bulls are 5-14-2 ATS in their last 21 games in November and 3-8 ATS in their last 11 games overall. The Zips are 2-5 ATS in their last 7 meetings, while the underdog is 5-2 ATS in their last 7 meetings.

I like the Buffalo Bulls in this spot. Buffalo has been a solid home team all season and has enough offensive firepower to possibly even beat Akron. Either way, this game should come down to the wire and getting a little over a free field goal should pay off in a big way.
