The Arizona State Sun Devils and the Washington State Cougars face of on Saturday in a Pac-12 Week 13 college football matchup.
The Arizona State Sun Devils appeared o be on the fringe of the college football playoffs but an upset loss at Oregon State last week has pretty much knocked them out of the discussion. The Arizona State offense is averaging 35.7 points and 464.8 yards per game and are led by QB Taylor Kelly who has completed 57.4 percent of his passes with 14 touchdowns and five interceptions. D.J. Foster leads the Sun Devils in rishing with 872 yards and six touchdowns and Jaelen Strong is ASU’s leading receover with 71 receptions and nine touchdowns. The Arizona State defense is allowing 25.9 points and 406.7 yards per game with 18 turnovers and 29 sacks. Jordan Simone has 85 tackles, Damarious Randall has 84 tackles, and Antonio Longino has 61 tackles. Arizona State still has a chance to make the Pac-12 Championship but that scenario includes them winning out.

The Washington State Cougars are coming off of a bye week and that followed a win over Oregon State that ended a four game losing streak. The Washington State offense averages 33.8 points and 521.2 yards per game and Luke Faulk has taken over at QB for the injured Connor Halliday but he has completed 70 percent of his passes with eight touchdowns and one interception. Jamal Morrow leads WSU in rushing with just 309 yards and Vince Mayle is the Cougars leading receiver with 86 receptions and nine touchdowns. The Washington State defense allows 38 points and 454 yards per game with seven takeaways and 23 sacks. Daqawn Brown has 71 tackles, Jeremiah Allison has 69 tackles, and Darryl Monroe has 65 tackles. This season has been a disappointment for Washington State but they have been competitive and have had some close losses.
Arizona State is 5-1 against the spread against a team with a losing record, 4-1 against the spread following a loss, and 10-3 against the spread at home against a team with a losing road record. Washington State is 8-3 against the spread in their last 11 road games, 1-4 against the spread in their last five games, and 0-4 against the spread against a team with a winning record. The home team has covered the point spread in four of the last five meetings of these two.
If this game was at WSU I would like their chances of covering but not a ASU where the Sun Devils should have no issues.
