The Nevada Wolf Pack look for a win at Sam Boyd Stadium against the UNLV Rebels in week 14.
The Nevada Wolf Pack appeared to be headed for a Bowl a few short weeks ago but they have made things difficult for themselves with back to back defeats to fall to 6-5 and likely in need of a win at UNLV to go to the postseason. The Wolf Pack are looking for a full 40 minute performance after getting shutout in the second half of a 40-20 loss to Fresno State. The Bulldogs were at the top of their game offensively with 551 yards with equal ability to run and throw. Nevada totaled 353 yards with most coming on the ground but it was their four turnovers that really hurt the team. Cody Fajardo was a one man offense with 165 rushing yards and a pair of TD's while throwing for 126 yards with a touchdown and interception.

Before the season began the UNLV Rebels were worried that poor academic performance would prevent the team from snagging a postseason berth. Well, grades were not nearly as big a worry as their inability to score and defend because neither side of the ball has been consistent. The offense was fine in a 37-35 loss at Hawaii but how you lose after taking the lead with 15 seconds left is unacceptable with Hawaii scoring on a 20 yard pass as time expired. UH racked up 578 yards in however they chose while the Rebels were none too shabby with 474 yards with over 400 coming through the air. Quarterback Jared Lebowitz was 13-30 for 212 yards and an interception before Blake Decker came on to hit 10-13 for 187 yards and three 4th quarter TD's.
The Wolf Pack are 0-5 ATS in their last 5 road games vs. a team with a losing home record while the under is 4-0 in Wolf Pack last 4 games following a double-digit loss at home and is 5-0 in Wolf Pack last 5 vs. a team with a losing record. For UNLV the over is 4-0 in Rebels last 4 vs. a team with a winning record while the Rebels are 0-5 ATS in their last 5 games after allowing more than 450 total yards in their previous game and are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 home games. Head to head the home team is 4-1 ATS in their last 5 meetings while the over is 4-1 in the last 5 meetings in UNLV. I won't be betting thiss because something seems amiss with Nevada and who knows what UNLV will do after snatching defeat from victory...
