The Texas Christian Horned Frogs collide with the Mississippi Rebels in the Chick-Fil-A Peach Bowl.
The Mississippi Rebels had the look of a National Championship contender when they opened the season 7-0 but those hopes were dashed with a 2-3 finish. The Rebels were very strong in most areas but it's tough to look past that suffocating defense that gave up 322 yards and less then 14 points which was tops nationally. The offense averaged 444 yards and 30 points behind a top 30 passing attack that averaged 276 yards. QB Bo Wallace lit up the airways to the tune of 3,108 yards with 22 scores and eleven picks. Vince Sanders led the receivers with nearly 700 yards before injury ended his season although Evan Engram, Laquon Treadwell and Cody Core combined for over 1,800 yards. Jaylen Walton was a significant threat on the ground with 583 yards and six yard average so Ole Miss was very capable of running the ball if they chose to do so.

Despite an 11-1 season the Texas Christian Horned Frogs were left out in the cold in the National Championship playoffs. How that effects this team remains to be seen but the Horned Frogs have some impressive numbers heading in to the Peach Bowl. TCU gave up 360 yards and 20 points with only 117 rushing yards given up. As strong as the defense was the offense was even more impressive with 542 yards and nearly 47 points behind a passing attack that produced over 330 yards and and a rushing game that averaged more then 200 yards so this unit did everything well. Trevone Boykin was dominant in the air with 3,714 yards with 30 touchdowns and seven picks. Josh Doctson totaled 959 receiving yards with Kolby Listenbee next in line with 709 yards. Aaron Green led the ground game with 854 yards and 7.7 yard average with Boykin adding 642 yards with his legs.
The Rebels are 4-0-1 ATS in their last 5 Bowl games and are 4-0-1 ATS in their last 5 bowl games while the under is 6-0 in Rebels last 6 games following a S.U. win. For Texas Christian the Horned Frogs are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 non-conference games and 0-7 ATS in their last 7 neutral site games while going 0-5 ATS in their last 5 Bowl games. I think these teams are evenly matched which is the way all Bowl games should be and if so I'll take the points...
