The Alamodome plays host to the UCLA Bruins and Kansas State Wildcats Alamo Bowl tilt on Friday.
The Kansas State Wildcats were not as strong as they were a season ago but this team is similar with decent scoring and strong defense leading to a 10-3 record. The Wildats were steady defensively with 361 yards and 21 points allowed which gave the offense plenty of wiggle room which they generally took advantage of with 426 yards and almost 36 points scored. Quarterback Jake Waters was the strength of the offense with 3,163 yards with 20 scores and six interceptions. Tyler Lockett and Curry Sexton paced a strong receiving corps with 1,351 yards and 955 yards respectively. The three headed rushing attack of Charles Jones, Waters and DeMarcus Robinson combined for over 1,400 yards at a little more then four yards per pop.

The UCLA Bruins won early and late behind a strong offense and a bend but don't break defense. Opponents touched this unit with over 400 yards with the ability to mix it up on the ground and in the air with 27 points allowed. The offense did their damage on 468 yards and 33 points behind top 40 air and ground attacks. Quarterback Brett Hundley completed over 70% of his throws for 3,019 yards with 21 scores and only five interceptions. Jordan Payton was the top pass catcher with almost 900 yards followed by Thomas Duarte and Devin Fuller with 521 yards and 428 yards respectively. The Bruins big gun on the ground was Paul Perkins with 1,368 yards and a nifty six yard average while Hundley was second ith 548 yards but he averaged just 3.8 yards.
The Wildcats are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 Bowl games and the under is 5-1 in Wildcats last 6 neutral site games. For UCLA the under is 4-0-1 in Bruins last 5 games after allowing more than 200 yards rushing in their previous game with the over going 5-1 in Bruins last 6 games after accumulating less than 170 yards passing in their previous game while the Bruins are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games following a S.U. loss. Let me start by saying it's always tough to go against Kansas State but I think this is a good match up for the Bruins and I'll back them...
