Overview: Alabama finished last season with a record of 11-2. They ended the year with a heartbreaking loss to Ohio State in the playoff game. Alabama has to replace their quarterback and wide receivers including first round pick Amari Cooper. Lucky for Nick Saban and Alabama they are loaded with talent.

Offense: The main priority for this offense is to replace their quarterback. The most likely is Jake Coker who transferred in last year from Florida State University. Their next line of business is finding replacements for Wide Receivers Amari Cooper, DeAndrew White and Christian Jones. Amari Cooper caught 124 passes for 1727 yards and 16 touchdowns last year. Chris Black and Robert Foster will likely become the go to targets. Running back Derrick Henry is now the lone man in the backfield. He rushed for 990 yards and 11 touchdowns while splitting carries. He will end up way over 1000 yards as the full time running back.

College Football Preview: The 2015 Alabama Crimson Tide

Defense: The strength of this Alabama team has been their dominant defense over the past couple years. They are loaded will talent again this year. They have a lot of big names returning in Reggie Ragland, A’Shawn Robinson, Jarren Reed and Jonathon Allen. Linebacker Reggie Ragland finished last year with 95 tackles with 10.5 of them for a loss. Defensive linemen Robinson, Reed, and Allen are the horses up front. Together these three combined for 137 tackles and 6.5 sacks. Alabama’s defense will remain one of the best in the country.

Special Teams: Kicker Adam Griffith is back and will be the starting kicker. He was 12-19 in field goals last season. JK Scott returns as the starting punter. Last season he averaged 48 yards a punt with 23 of them going over 50 yards.

Overall: Alabama will once again be one of the best teams in the nation. Even with all the question marks on offense they have too much talent not to be good. If Coker has a good year at quarterback good luck beating this team. I think Alabama will once again win the SEC and probably end up being in the playoffs.
