The Line: Boise State Broncos -10.5 -- Over/Under: 56.5 See the Latest Odds
The Boise State Broncos host the Washington Huskies and former coach Chris Petersen in week one action.
The Washington Huskies were 8-6 a year ago with decent numbers on the scoreboard where they outscored opponents 30-25. Fast forward to 2015 and the Huskies lose 2,400 yard passer Cyler Miles and replace him with Jeff Lindquist who was 10-30 a year ago. Jaydon Mickens (60-617) and TE Joshua Perkins (25-315) lead the receiving corps that will need a few more targets to emerge while the top two runners in 2014 return in Lavon Coleman and Dwayne Washington who combined for over 1,200 yards. The O-Line lost five of the top six which a big concern especially with a new quarterback. The front seven is rebuilding but UW has potential with plenty of high ranked players on hand.

The Boise State Broncos will be looking to sneak up on some people in 2015 with a loaded roster. The Broncos did lose Grant Hedrick and nearly 3.400 passing yards but Ryan Finley appears to have the pedigree to get the job done and he won’t be alone with Thomas Sperbeck and Shane Williams-Rhodes snagging 109 receptions a season ago. Devan Demas and Jeremy McNichols will handle the rushing attack with all five lineman returning. The defensive side of the football returns almost everyone so opponents won’t be running and passing at will against a veteran group. Although several big names are gone offensively Bryan Harsin has the talent to fill the voids.
The under is 4-0 in Huskies last 4 games overall and is 5-1 in Huskies last 6 non-conference games while going 9-2 in Huskies last 11 games in September. The Broncos are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 non-conference games and the over is 8-1 in Broncos last 9 games overall while Boise State are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games in September. I really don’t like the spread here but right now Boise State on the blue turf…
