The Texas State Bobcats travel to Doak Campbell Stadium to challenge the Florida State Seminoles.
The Texas State Bobcats have a familiar look in 2015 with many of the same faces that were responsible for last year’s 7-5 record. The defense is experienced although whether that is good or bad remains to be seen with opponents able to move the chains in whatever way they saw fit. That might mean the Bobcats will have to match last season’s 34 points. Dual threat quarterback Tyler Jones was a solid producer with nearly 2,700 passing yards and almost 700 rushing yards. CJ Best and Brandon Smith are the top options of an experienced receiving corps while Robert Lowe brings 1,100 rushing yards to the table which he could bypass with a veteran offensive line in front of him.

Everybody knows what happened to the 13-0 Florida State Seminoles when they face Oregon in the FBS playoffs as they were hammered 59-20. The score was a bit surprising but the loss wasn’t as the Seminoles won a ridiculous seven games by one score and outscored opponents 34-26. The questions might outnumber the answers with Jameis Winston gone and Notre Dame transfer Everett Golson bringing nearly 3,500 passing yards and 450+ rushing yards to the offense along with the propensity for mistakes so don’t be surprised to see Sean Maguire under center. Jesus Wilson and Travis Rudolph become the top two targets through the air and 1,000 yard runner Dalvin Cook is a great runner but the line lost all five starters including two All-Americans. The D-line took a hit as well with a few holes to plug but the Noles need a dependable rotation from the front seven that can stop the run.
The Bobcats are 6-0 ATS in their last 6 games overall and are 6-0 ATS in their last 6 road games while going 6-1 ATS in their last 7 non-conference games. The Seminoles are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games overall and are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games in September while going 0-6 ATS in their last 6 non-conference games. I’m Just going with the speed and size of Florida State and hoping they don’t let up…
