The Lamar Cardinals and Baylor Bears square off Saturday night at McLane Stadium.

The Lamar Cardinals are coming off a 66-3 beatdown over Bacone College. Joe Minden is completing 80 percent of his passes for 170 yards, three touchdowns and zero interceptions. Minden and Carson Earp have combined for five touchdown passes. Michael Handy and Gratian Gladney have combined for more than 110 receiving yards and two touchdowns while Reggie Begelton has a touchdown on four receptions. The Lamar Cardinals ground game is averaging 264 yards per contest, and Emmit Raleigh leads the way with 66 yards and a touchdown. Defensively, Lamar is allowing three points and 82 yards per game. Larance Hale leads the Cardinals with six tackles, Logan Moss has a sack and Treston Ridge has a pass deflection.

Baylor vs. Lamar - 9/12/15 College Football Pick, Odds, and Prediction

The Baylor Bears are fresh off a 56-21 opening victory over SMU. Seth Russell is completing 50 percent of his passes for 376 yards, five touchdowns and one interception. Russell now has 13 touchdown passes for Baylor the last two seasons. Corey Coleman and KD Cannon have combined for more than 280 receiving yards and two touchdowns while Jay Lee has three touchdowns on three receptions. The Baylor Bears ground game is averaging 300 yards per contest, and Shock Linwood leads the way with 75 yards on eight carries. Defensively, Baylor is allowing 21 points and 369 yards per game. Grant Campbell leads the Bears with 11 tackles, Patrick Levels has a sack and Tion Wright has an interception.

While Baylor is an offensive machine, this is a ton of points to give up. Especially when you consider Baylor didn't play the best of defense last week against SMU. Lamar can also put up points, as it scored 66 points last week and 40 or more in four of its last six games.

I'll take the points if forced to pick.
