The Western Kentucky Hilltoppers make the trip to Memorial Stadium to oppose the Indiana Hoosiers in week three.
The Hilltoppers knocked off Vanderbilt in a low scoring affair but it was business as usual in a 41-38 victory versus rival Louisiana Tech to improve to 2-0. Neither team could stop the other with both approaching 600 yards with the Bulldogs able to both run and throw while WKU did most of their damage through the air. Brandon Doughty completed 28-38 for 441 yards and a touchdown with Taywan Taylor, Tyler Higbee and Antwane Grant combining for 16 receptions for 258 yards to give the Hilltoppers three productive receiving options. Leon Allen gave Western Kentucky a rushing threat with 81 yards and a TD on 12 totes but the offense didn’t run often.

The Indiana Hoosiers can put the ball in the end zone but can they stop the opposition from doing the same. The Hoosiers did both in a 36-22 victory versus Florida International in week two as they pulled away late from a very close contest. The Indiana defense allowed 406 yards and forced three turnovers with a 96 yard pick six by Jameel Cook Jr. with just under four minutes remaining saving the day. Indiana totaled 439 yards with balance as Nate Sudfield connected on 19-33 for 234 yards with a touchdown and interception with eight players recording catches. Jordan Howard gave the Hoosiers 159 rushing yards on 27 catches while Devine Redding adding 53 yards.
The Hilltoppers are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games after allowing more than 450 total yards in their previous game and the over is 4-0-1 in Hilltoppers last 5 road games vs. a team with a winning home record while the Hilltoppers are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games after allowing more than 280 yards passing in their previous game. The Hoosiers are 1-8 ATS in their last 9 games following a S.U. win and are 1-7-1 ATS in their last 9 games following a ATS win while Indiana are 9-2-1 ATS in their last 12 home games vs. a team with a winning road record. I thing the logical choice is the over but it seems too obvious…
