Eric Dungey looked good in his first start going 8/13 for 221 yards and 2 touchdowns. Dungey also added 36 yards on the ground. George Morris led the team with 6 carries for 46 yards. Wide Receiver Brisly Estime led Syracuse with 2 catches for 98 yards and a touchdown. Donnie Simmons, Corey Winfield, and Parris Bennett played big roles on defense all recording an interception. Turnovers were the main reason Syracuse pulled off this victory. Syracuse will need another solid performance from their quarterback if they want to beat Central Michigan this weekend.

The Chippewas were not able to get anything going on the ground; their leading rusher was Martez Walker, who had 8 carries for 34 yards.
