The South Carolina Gamecocks and the UCF Knights face off on Saturday in Columbia in college football action.
The South Carolina Gamecocks have lost their last two games, both to SEC teams, as they step outside of the conference once again this week. The South Carolina offense is averaging 19.7 points and 356.3 yards per game. Gamecocks QB Perry Orth is completing 53.8 percent of his passes with one touchdown and two interceptions as he has replaced the injured Connor Mitch. The South Carolina rushing attack is led by Brandon Wilds who s averaging 5.2 yards per carry but he hasn’t found the endzone and Pharoh Cooper is the top receiver with 13 catches but just one touchdown. The South Carolina defense is allowing 30.3 points and 471.7 yards per game with five sacks, one fumble recovery, and four interceptions. Skai Moore is South Carolina’s leading tackler with 31 and 3 interceptions, Isaiah Johnson has 21 tackles, and Johnathan Walton has 20 tackles. It has been a tough start to the season for the Gamecocks.

The Central Florida Knights are looking for their first win of the season and they are coming off of their worst loss in years falling to FCS Furman. UCF is averaging just 12 points and 248.3 yards per game. The Knights have issues at QB and last week it was Tyler Harris and Bo Schneider with neither being overly effective. Taj McGowan leads the Knights in rushing with 111 yards and Jordan Aikens is the leading receiver with 14 catches and Tre’Quan Smith has 12 catches. The UCF defense is allowing 20.7 points and 384 yards per game with two sacks and two fumble recoveries and no interceptions. Drico Johnson leads UCF with 21 tackles, Domenic Spencer has 18 tackles, and Shqull Griffin has 17 tackles. This is a true rebuilding season for UCF.
South Carolina is 3-8 against the spread following a loss, 0-6 against the spread against a team with a losing record, and 2-8 against the spread in their last 10 September games. UCF is 3-7 against the spread against a team with a losing record, 0-4 against the spread in their last four games, and 1-4 against the spread in their last five September games.
