The Florida Gators turned to their defense to upend Kentucky 14-9 in their SEC opener to kick off the season at 3-0. The Gators took a 14-3 lead with them in to the locker room and let their ‘D’ guide them to victory with both teams failing to reach 250 yards of offense. Quarterback Will Grier gave UF 125 passing yards and was the top rusher with 61 yards and a touchdown on 12 carries but an interception was tough to take in a generally short ball control attack. Kelvin Taylor totaled 45 yards on 16 touches with a trip to the end zone but the Florida ground game was largely kept in check. The Gators biggest play was Antonio Callaway’s 31 yard reception as big plays on both sides were minimized.

The road team is 6-0-1 ATS in their last 7 meetings and the over is 4-1 in the last 5 meetings while the underdog is 3-1-1 ATS in their last 5 meetings. I don’t see either team marching up and down the field so if I did something here I would look at the under…
