Texas vs. Oklahoma State - 9/26/15 College Football Pick, Odds, and Prediction

The Texas Longhorns need a victory to get back to a .500 record and rebound from their loss to Cal. Jerrod Heard is completing 64.1 percent of his passes for 494 yards, two touchdowns and one interception. Heard had zero touchdown passes on 31 attempts in Texas’ loss to Cal. Daje Johnson and John Burt have combined for more than 370 receiving yards and one touchdown while Armanti Foreman has six receptions. The Texas Longhorns ground game is averaging 165 yards per contest, and Heard leads the way with 247 yards and three touchdowns. Defensively, Texas is allowing 37 points and 512.3 yards per game. Malik Jefferson leads the Longhorns with 27 tackles, Shiro Davis has a sack and Jason Hall has an interception.

The Cowboys are 20-9 ATS vs. a team with a losing record and 2-5 ATS in their last 7 road games. The Longhorns are 2-5 ATS in their last 7 home games and 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games overall. The Cowboys are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 meetings in Texas.

The Texas Longhorns showed me a lot last week, and Heard is simply gaining confidence by the quarter and quickly turning into a star quarterback. OK State has been a hit or miss over the years and this is easily the biggest game for the Cowboys yet. Honestly, I like the Longhorns to win outright, but I'll gladly take four free points.
