The Texas Southern Tigers look to get a game above a .500 record with a victory here. Johnathan Bowen is completing 53.8 percent of his passes for 450 yards, four touchdowns and three interceptions. Bowen and Averion Hurts have combined for five touchdowns. Derrick Griffin and Malik Cross have combined for 322 receiving yards and two touchdowns while Larry Clark has five receptions. Defensively, Texas Southern is allowing 19.3 points and 305 yards per game. Jamal Lucas leads the Tigers with 27 tackles, Amir Bloom has 1.5 sacks and Ryhean McMorris has three pass deflections.
This game could be rather fun to watch given that both teams have dual-threat quarterbacks who can carry an offense. But overall, Texas Southern is more balanced, has shown more signs of life and is at home where it has improved as of late.
I like the Tigers to win this game.
