The Eastern Michigan Eagles are off to a 1-3 start to the season with their lone win coming on the road at Wyoming. The Eastern Michigan offense is averaging 33 points and 423 yards per game and they have turned the ball over five times. EMU QB Brogan Roback has completed 57.5 percent of his passes with three touchdowns and three interceptions. Darius Jackson leads the Eagles ground attack with 266 yards and five touchdowns as well as 10 receptions and Kris Strange is the leading receiver with 12 receptions. The EMU defense is allowing 31.7 points and 449 yards per game with five sacks and two fumble recoveries. Great Ibe leads EMU with 30 tackles, Anthony Zappone has 27 tackles, and Ikie Calderon has 20 tackles. Eastern Michigan gives up yards in bunches on the ground and that could put them in big trouble this week.
LSU is 7-3 against the spread in their last 10 home games, 4-1 against the spread following a game that they didn’t cover the spread, and 1-5 against the spread against a team with a losing record. Eastern Michigan is 17-36 against the spread against a team with a winning record, 4-9 against the spread in their last 13 road games, and 1-5 against the spread against the SEC.
This is a big mismatch but I am not ready to lay better than six touchdowns so I will be staying away but if I were to play it I would be on EMU with the points.
