The Missouri Tigers and the South Carolina Gamecocks face off on Saturday at Faurot Field in a SEC college football matchup.

The Missouri Tigers are coming off of their first loss of the year after three tight wins they fell last week at Kentucky. The Missouri offense is averaging 20.8 points and 320.3 yards per game and they have turned the ball over six times. Mizzou QB Maty Mauk has completed just 51.8 percent of his passes with six touchdowns and four interceptions and he has rushed fir 145 yards and a touchdown. Russell Hansbrough is Missouri main ball carrier but he has been banged up so Ish Witter has rushed for 187 yards while J’Mon Moore has 13 catches and Sean Culkin has 12 catches. The Missouri defense is allowing 12.5 points and 255 yards per game with four interceptions, two fumble recoveries, and nine sacks. Kentrell Brothers leads Missouri with 52 tackles, Michael Scherer has 24 tackles, and Charles Harris and Aarion Penton each have 19 tackles. Missouri hasn’t looked good even in their wins so it will be interesting to see how they hold up in SEC play overall this season.

Missouri vs. South Carolina - 10/3/15 College Football Pick, Odds, and Prediction

The South Carolina Gamecocks are 2-2 so far this season but they have lost both of their SEC games. The South Carolina offense is averaging 22.5 points and 367.2 yards per game and they have turned the ball over three times. Gamecocks QB Lorenzo Nunez is coming off of a win in his first start and he has completed 59.3 percent of his passes with two touchdowns and he has rushed for 239 yards and a touchdown. Brandon Wilds was out last week but he is South Carolina’s top running back with 181 yards and Pharoh Cooper is the top receiver with 17 catches and two touchdowns. Defensively South Carolina is allowing 26.2 points and 411.2 yards per game with six interceptions, one fumble recovery, and seven sacks. Skai Moore leads South Carolina with 40 tackles, Isaiah Johnson has 23 tackles, and Jonathan Walton has 20 tackles. South Carolina is looking for any kind of consistent play.

Missouri is 16-7 against the spread in their last 23 SEC games, 2-6 against the spread in their last eight home games, and 0-4 against the spread in their last four games. South Carolina is 2-6 against the spread in their last eight SEC games and 1-4 against the spread following a game that they covered the point spread.

This should be a slop fest and I don’t feel comfortable laying many points, especially more than a field goal so I will take the points and South Carolina.
