The Texas-San Antonio Roadrunners travel to Sun Bowl Stadium to face the Texas El Paso Miners.
The Texas-San Antonio Roadrunners are probably feeling the huge losses in talent right now which is largely responsible for their 0-4 start that was capped off by a 33-31 loss to visiting Colorado State in week four. Both teams managed around 430 yards with the Rams able to do a little of everything while the Roadrunners did most of their work on the ground. Blake Bogenshutz gave UTSA 153 passing yards with a touchdown and interception and added 61 yards with his legs on nine carries. Jarveon Williams was the workhorse in the Texas-San Antonio backfield with 170 yards on 13 touches with 13 yard and 85 yard scoring jaunts.

The Texas El Paso Miners have rebounded from an 0-2 start with consecutive victories following a 27-17 win versus Incarnate Word as a 27 point home favorite. The Cardinals were given little hope but this was a 17-17 game entering the 4th before the Miners pulled free for the win. The Miners trailed 414-356 in yards but benefitted from a fumble recovery and two interceptions while playing mistake free. UTEP could not establish the run with quarterback Ryan Metz leading the team with 46 yards on nine totes. Metz gave the Miners a solid effort through the air with 275 yards and a pair of touchdowns on a 20-28 performance with Hayden Plinke and Jaquan White combining for eleven catches for 153 yards.
The under is 6-1 in Roadrunners last 7 games following a ATS win and the Roadrunners are 2-9 ATS in their last 11 games following a S.U. loss while going 2-8 ATS in their last 10 games in October. The Miners are 5-0 ATS vs. a team with a losing record and the under is 6-0 in Miners last 6 games following a S.U. win while going 4-0-1 in Miners last 5 games after allowing less than 20 points in their previous game. I see something of a defensive type game here as opposed to a shootout so maybe the under…
