The Wyoming Cowboys are still lookingor win number one on the year after falling to visiting New Mexico 38-28 Saturday. Both teams finished with around 410 yards but the Lobos running game won out over the Cowboys passing attack. Wyoming quarterback Cameron Coffman connected on 30-42 for 366 yards and four touchdowns with a pair of interceptions with Tanner Gentry hauling in nine receptions for 130 yards while Jacob Hollister grabbed five balls for 75 yards and another TD. Unfortunately the rushing attack was not as productive with an 18 carry, 49 yard day from Brian Hill leading the ground game.

After a disappointing performance in a loss at Clemson the Appalachian State Mountaineers dominated both sides of the line of scrimmage in a 49-0 rout of Old Dominion on the road. The Mountaineers moved the chains with ease with just over 500 yards but the defense was just as ferocious with 175 yards allowed and four turnovers including Devan Stringer returning a fumble 77 yards for six. ASU didn’t throw often but when they did quarterback Taylor Lamb was on target with 187 yards and four touchdowns on 11-15. Shaedon Meadors and Bobo Beathard Paced the Mountaineers receivers with two catches each for 128 yards and a TD apiece. Marcus Cox paced the Appalachian State running game with 107 yards with Jalin Moore adding 75 yards and a score.
The Cowboys are 0-7 ATS in their last 7 games after allowing less than 170 yards passing in their previous game and are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games after accumulating more than 280 yards passing in their previous game while the over is 5-0 in Cowboys last 5 games in October. The under is 4-0 in Mountaineers last 4 non-conference games and the Mountaineers are 3-0-1 ATS in their last 4 games after accumulating more than 450 total yards in their previous games while going 0-3-1 ATS in their last 4 games after allowing less than 275 total yards in their previous game. I think Appalachian State is one of the best in the Sun Belt and I’ll take them…
