SMU at Houston - 10/8/15 College Football Pick, Odds, and Prediction

The Houston Cougars look to improve to an impressive 5-0 start this season. Greg Ward Jr. is completing 69.7 percent of his passes for 1,058 yards, eight touchdowns and one interception. Ward has seven touchdown passes in his last three games. Demarcus Ayers and Chance Allen have combined for 587 receiving yards and four touchdowns while Steven Dunbar has 12 receptions. The Houston Cougars ground game is averaging 305.7 yards per contest, and Ward leads the way with 472 yards and seven touchdowns. Defensively, Houston is allowing 23.3 points and 398.3 yards per game. Elandon Roberts leads the Cougars with 44 tackles, Steven Taylor has five sacks and Adrian McDonald has two interceptions. Linell Bonner is questionable.

The Mustangs are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 road games and 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games in October. The Cougars are 3-7 ATS in their last 10 home games and 5-1-1 ATS in their last 7 games overall. The Mustangs are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 meetings.

SMU doesn't play a lick of defense and is starting to fall aart overall with three straight losses. Meanwhile, Houston is solid at both ends of the field and is starting to turn some heads nationally with an undefeated record. I smell a blowout here.
