Boston College will host ACC opponent Wake Forest this weekend at Alumni Stadium.
Boston College is coming off a hard fought loss to Duke 9-7. There was not much offense at all in this game. Quarterback Troy Flutie went 5/8 for 129 yards and a touchdown. Running back Jeff Smith led the team with 11 carries for 60 yards. Thadd Smith led the Eagles in receiving with 2 catches for 99 yards and a touchdown. Boston College defense played a good game not allowing a touchdown and only allowing 228 total yards. Unfortunately their offense was unable to score enough. BC will try to get their first ACC win this week against Wake Forest.

Wake Forest fell short of pulling off the upset against Florida State 24-16. Quarterback Kendall Hinton went 27/42 for 215 yards and 1 touchdown and 1 interception. Hinton also added 48 yards on the ground. Running back Matt Colburn ran the ball 11 times for 51 yards. Wide Receiver Cam Serigne had a big day catching 10 passes for 83 yards and a touchdown. Cortez Lewis also caught 8 passes for 70 yards. Wake Forest had 2 costly turnovers especially 1 on the last drive of the game. If Wake Forest is able to play as well as they did against FSU they will have a chance to win this week against Boston College.
Wake Forest is 1-4 against the spread in their last 5 games following an against the spread win. The Demon Deacons are 0-5 against the spread in their last 5 road games. Boston College are 6-0-1 against the spread in their last 7 home games vs. a team with a losing road record. The Eagles are 4-1-1 against the spread in their last 6 games following a loss.
Boston College has had a couple of rough losses but in all of them their defense has played very vell. Wake Forest played one of their best games last week against FSU. I think the difference in this game is Boston College's defense will give Wake Forest a lot of trouble. Take Boston College to Cover at home.
