Northwestern vs. Iowa - 10/17/15 College Football Pick, Odds, and Prediction

The Northwestern Wildcats look to rebound from an ugly road loss to the Michigan Wolverines. Clayton Thorson is completing 55 percent of his passes for 817 yards, four touchdowns and four interceptions. Thorson has zero touchdown passes in three of his last four games. Dan Vitale and Christian Jones have combined for 386 receiving yards and two touchdowns while Austin Carr has six receptions. Defensively, Northwestern is allowing 12.2 points and 269.5 yards per game. Anthony Walker leads the Wildcats with 50 tackles, Deonte Gibson has five sacks and Matthew Harris has three interceptions. Matthew Harris is questionable.

The Hawkeyes are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games following a ATS loss and 11-3 ATS in their last 14 road games. The Wildcats are 2-7 ATS in their last 9 games in October and 7-3 ATS in their last 10 games overall. The home team is 5-0 ATS in their last 5 meetings.

I’m not one of those guys who puts a ton of stock into one game. So while Northwestern let me down big time last week, the Wildcats are still easily one of the better teams in the Big Ten. Iowa is good as well but doesn’t have nearly the resume as Northwestern and did just let a below average Illinois team hang around.

I really like the Wildcats to bounce back here and will be pounding them at home in a pick em game.
