The UConn Huskies look for their second AAC victory to get them a game above a .500 record. Bryant Shirreffs is completing 63.4 percent of his passes for 1,271 yards, six touchdowns and three interceptions. Shirreffs has four touchdown passes in his last three games. Noel Thomas and Arkeel Newsome have combined for 595 receiving yards and three touchdowns while Tyraiq Beals has 16 receptions. The UConn Huskies ground game is averaging 110.8 yards per contest, and Newsome leads the way with 305 yards and three touchdowns. Defensively, UConn is allowing 18.7 points and 339.2 yards per game. Andrew Adams leads the Huskies with 46 tackles, Folorunso Fatukasi has 3.5 sacks and Jhavon Williams has three interceptions.
The Bulls are 4-1-1 ATS in their last 6 games in October and 1-4-1 ATS in their last 6 conference games. The Huskies are 2-8 ATS in their last 10 home games and 5-13 ATS in their last 18 games overall. The underdog is 4-1-1 ATS in their last 6 meetings.
UConn continues to get these low lines and continues to find a way to make oddmakers look foolish. The Huskies are a program that's on the rise andcurrently has an above-average defense. South Florida just doesn't have enough horses offensively to test the Huskies, as they rely heavily on their running game due to poor QB play.
I look for UConn to roll here rather easily.
