The Kansas State Wildcats go on the road to oppose the Texas Longhorns in week eight action.
The Kansas State Wildcats don’t seem to be the same team we have come to know in in the past several years after a 55-0 loss to visiting Oklahoma saddled the team with three consecutive defeats. The Sooners jumped to a 35-0 lead heading to the locker room behind 568 yards while KSU was limited to 110 yards and three turnovers. The passing attack of Joe Hubener and Kody Cook yards on combined for 45 on 5-22 and three interceptions including a pick six with Cook catching two passes for 38 yards while rushing eleven times for 19 yards. Just wasn’t a typical Kansas State performance in any area.

The Texas Longhorns were given little to no chance in staying close to visiting Oklahoma but it was the Sooners who struggled to keep up as a 16 point road favorite. UT held the Sooners to a mere 278 yards and managed 368yards themselves with the vast majority coming on the ground. The Horns received 53 passing yards and a touchdown from Jerrod Heard with Tyrone Swoopes going 1-1 with a two yard TD with Marcus Johnson the top target with four catches for 35 yards and a score. D’Onta Foreman led a dominant Texas rushing attack with 117 yards on nine tries while Heard ran 21 times for 115 yards.
The over is 5-0 in Wildcats last 5 games after allowing more than 280 yards passing in their previous game and is 4-0 in Wildcats last 4 games overall while going 4-0 in Wildcats last 4 games on fieldturf. The Longhorns are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games after allowing less than 100 yards rushing in their previous game and the under is 10-3 in Longhorns last 13 games after accumulating less than 170 yards passing in their previous game while going 20-6 in Longhorns last 26 conference games. The Wildcats are 7-1 ATS in their last 8 meetings and the home team is 4-1 ATS in their last 5 meetings. I think Texas is playing better and will get my vote in this tilt…
