The Kentucky Wildcats are 4-2 this season and they are looking to bounce back from a loss in their last game against Auburn. The Kentucky offense is averaging 26.2 points and 387.5 yards per game and they have turned the ball over eight times. UK QB Patrick Towles has completed 61.5 percent of his passes with eight touchdowns and seven interceptions. Stanley Williams is Kentucky’s top rusher with 456 yards and three touchdowns and Dorian Baker has 30 catches and three touchdowns and Garrett Johnson has 28 catches and a touchdown. The UK defense is allowing 23.2 points and 374.8 yards per game with four interceptions, three fumble recoveries, and 11 sacks. Josh Forrest has 58 tackles to lead the Wildcats, Marcus McWilson has 38 tackles and Cory Johnson has 38 tackles. Kentucky is still looking for their first big win of the year and a win here would fill that void.
Mississippi State is 4-1 against the spread in their last five home games, 11-4 against the spread in their last 15 SEC games, and 11-5 against the spread in their last 16 games against a team with a winning record. Kentucky is 3-7 against the spread in their last 10 games, 7-18 against the spread in their last 25 road games, and 3-7 against the spread following a loss. The road team has covered the point spread in seven of the last nine meetings of these two.
This is just way too many points and I see Kentucky having a chance to win outright so getting double digits this looks like a layup.
