The Line: New Mexico State Aggies +4 -- Over/Under: See the Latest Odds
The New Mexico State Aggies look for their first win when the Troy Trojans visit Aggie Memorial Stadium.
The Troy Trojans and their new coaching staff are going through some growing pains as witnessed by their 1-5 record where points have been scarce. The Trojans are riding a four game slide following a 19-16 loss to visiting Troy where they kicked four field goals. The Trojans defense did well enough with 330 yards allowed while totaling 381 yards themselves but killing themselves with four turnovers. The Troy quarterback situation is clouded with backups Dallas Tidwell going 12-24 for 168 yards while Dontreal Pruitt hit 8-14 for 70 yards with a pair of picks. Teddy Ruben was the Trojans top receiver with eight catches for 109 yards and a touchdown while Brandon Burks was the top Troy runner with 83 yards on 18 totes.

I could try to dissect the New Mexico State Aggies and figure out where the problems are but at 0-6 neither side of the ball has been able to get the job done. The Aggies were blasted 56-26 by run heavy Georgia Southern in week seven with the Eagles amassing over 500 yards on the ground while NMSU logged 386 yards. Quarterback Andrew Allen gave the Aggies a competitive passing game with 253 yards and three touchdowns with an interception on 20-37 with Royce Caldwell catching two throws for 67 yards while Joshua Bowen snagged four balls an a pair of scores. Larry Rose III was the New Mexico State rushing game with 82 yards on 13 touches but this team doesn’t run often.
The over is 10-2 in Trojans last 12 vs. a team with a losing record and the under is 4-1 in Trojans last 5 games in October while the Trojans are 12-3-1 ATS in their last 16 games following a ATS loss. The Aggies are 0-5 ATS in their last 5 home games and are 0-5 ATS in their last 5 games after allowing more than 450 total yards in their previous game while going 0-5 ATS in their last 5 games after allowing less than 170 yards passing in their previous game. No line out with neither team having a healthy starting quarterback so I don’t know if I’d touch this game…
