Texas vs. Kansas State - 10/24/15 College Football Pick, Odds, and Prediction

The Texas Longhorns look to build on their win over Oklahoma and are coming off a bye week. Jerrod Heard is completing 57.5 percent of his passes for 714 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions. Heard has one touchdown pass in his last four games. John Burt and Daje Johnson have combined for 428 receiving yards and one touchdown while Armanti Foreman has 10 receptions. The Texas Longhorns ground game is averaging 195 yards per contest, and Heard leads the way with 428 yards and three touchdowns. Defensively, Texas is allowing 34.7 points and 469 yards per game. Peter Jinkens leads the Longhorns with 48 tackles, Hassan Ridgeway has two sacks and Dylan Haines has two interceptions. Breckyn Hager, Kent Perkins and Daje Johnson are questionable.

The Wildcats are 38-14-1 ATS in their last 53 conference games and 15-7-1 ATS in their last 23 road games. The Longhorns are 7-3 ATS in their last 10 games following a bye week and 2-6 ATS in their last 8 games overall. The Wildcats are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 meetings in Texas and 7-1 ATS in their last 8 meetings overall.

Kansas State is just a banged up football team and going on the road against a rested Texas squad isn't going to help matters. The Lonhorns are confident, at home and have had an extra week to prepare for a Wildcats team that has injuries all over the place. Hard not to take Texas and the reasonable chalk.
