The USC Trojans could use their first win over a ranked team to get a game above a .500 record. Cody Kessler is completing 68.5 percent of his passes for 1,818 yards, 17 touchdowns and five interceptions. Kessler has thrown four picks in his last two games. JuJu Smith-Schuster and Adoree' Jackson have combined for 1,037 yards and nine touchdowns while Steven Mitchell Jr. has 15 receptions. Defensively, USC is allowing 21.3 points and 402.5 yards per game. Cameron Smith leads the Trojans with 53 tackles, Scott Felix has 2.5 sacks and Su'a Cravens has three pass deflections. Darreus Rogers, Jalen Greene and Claude Pelon are questionable.
The Utes are 8-1 ATS in their last 9 road games and 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games overall. The Trojans are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 conference games and 6-2 ATS in their last 8 games following a ATS loss. The home team is 4-0 ATS in their last 4 meetings.
I get that USC has playmakers offensively and Utah relies way too much on Booker to ball them out. However, you can make an argument that the Utah Utes are the best team in college football. That Utah defense is no joke. Underdog? I'll gladly take the Utah Utes and the points here, as they have a great shot to win outright.
