The Texas Christian Horned Frogs look to stay perfect versus the visiting West Virginia Mountaineers Thursday.
The good news for the West Virginia Mountaineers is they are in the midst of a three game slide but the good hews is they have had a week to prepare for Texas Christian. The Mountaineers are coming off of a 62-38 loss at Baylor which was competitive until the second half where they were outscored 35-21. The Bears racked up 700 yards and WVU couldn’t keep pace on 471 yards. Skyler Howard tried to keep the Mountaineers competitive with his passing with 289 yards and four touchdowns and an interception on 18-37 with Shelton Howard catching three balls for 92 yards and a score. Wendell Smallwood was the WVU rushing attack 89 yards on 12 carries.

The high powered TCU offense keeps racking up the points and that has led to a 7-0 record after downing Iowa State 45-21 on the road in week seven behind a 21-0 second half run. TCU had too much offense with 621 yards while the Cyclones totaled 461 yards. TCU quarterback Trevone Boykin lit up the Cyclones secondary 436 yards and four touchdowns on 27-32. Josh Doctson led the Horned Frogs receivers with 190 yards and a pair of touchdowns on ten receptions while Kolby Listenbee snagging six balls for 101 yards with a score. Boykin added 74 yards and a touchdown with his legs while Kyle Hicks totaled another 53 yards and a TD but running the ball was done to give Boykin’s arm a rest.
The under is 4-0 in Mountaineers last 4 games after allowing more than 280 yards passing in their previous game and the Mountaineers are 1-8 ATS in their last 9 games following a bye week while the under is 7-1 in Mountaineers last 8 games following a ATS loss. Horned Frogs are 12-1 ATS in their last 13 games on grass and the Horned Frogs are 11-1 ATS in their last 12 home games and are 7-1 ATS in their last 8 games after accumulating more than 450 total yards in their previous game. The line seems light which scares me a bit…
