The South Florida Bulls make the long trip up the coast to face the Navy Midshipmen.
I had my doubts about the South Florida Bulls entering the season but they have surprised me and are riding the momentum of a three game winning streak after routing visiting Southern Methodist 38-14 in week eight. SMU held a slight 365-352 edge in yards but they also committed three costly turnovers. Bulls quarterback Quinton Flowers was a disappointment through the air with just 97 yards on just 8-20 but he more then made up for it with his legs. Flowers led South Florida with 201 rushing yards on 23 touches with three touchdowns with Darius Tice adding 47 yards and another score.

The Navy Midshipmen rebounded from their lone loss at Notre Dame to easily handle visiting Tulane 31-14. The Green Wave easily outgained Navy 386-281 but they lost a pair of fumbles and threw an interception and paid for their mistakes. The trademark rushing attack of the Midshipmen was a non factor with Keenan Reynolds gaining just 38 yards on 23 carries and a pair of touchdowns. Fortunately Reynolds and the Middies had some success through the air with 134 yards on 7-11 with Tago Smith hitting Calvin Cass Jr. with a24 yard scoring strike.
The Bulls are 3-0-1 ATS in their last 4 games in October and the under is 4-0-1 in Bulls last 5 games after accumulating less than 170 yards passing in their previous game while the Bulls are 3-0-1 ATS in their last 4 games overall. The Midshipmen are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 home games and are 1-6 ATS in their last 7 home games vs. a team with a winning road record while the over is 5-1 in Midshipmen last 6 home games vs. a team with a winning road record. I like the way the Bulls have been playing and might just take a shot with them…
